ABOUT
Spirit + Truth

Our Foundation

Spirit & Truth Community Church is a local expression of the one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

This outlines the doctrinal identity that guides our worship, discipleship, and spiritual formation.

The Holy Trinity

We confess one God in Three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the Father as the eternal source, the Son as eternally begotten and incarnate for our sake, and the Holy Spirit as the Lord and Giver of Life.

The Nicene Creed

We hold the Nicene Creed (AD 381) as our essential confession. It serves as the boundary for all teaching and ministry within our church, ensuring we remain anchored in the historic Christian faith.

Scripture & Holy Tradition

  • Scripture: We affirm the Bible as inspired, inerrant, and the final authority for faith.

  • Tradition: We embrace the “living memory” of the Church—the creeds, councils, and practices of the early teachers—which safeguards our interpretation of the Word.

The Way of Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of grace received through faith and baptism. It is a synergistic journey where we cooperate with the Holy Spirit to be healed of sin and transformed into the likeness of Christ—a process known as Theosis.

The Sacramental Life

We recognize the Sacraments as acts where God uses material signs to impart real spiritual grace:

  • Baptism & Chrismation: Our new birth and sealing in the Spirit.

  • The Eucharist: Real participation in Christ’s Body and Blood.

  • Confession & Unction: Grace for repentance and physical/spiritual healing.

  • Matrimony & Holy Orders: The sanctification of union and service.

The Holy Spirit & Gifts

The “Age of the Spirit” is now. We believe all spiritual gifts remain active today. We steward these gifts—especially prophecy—with both passion and pastoral order to ensure the Church is built up in love.

Our Final Hope

We look forward to the bodily return of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the restoration of all things under His glorious reign.
